Adding to this machine's versatility is its tilting cast-iron table with crossing mitre slots and included mitre gauge. These features make it easier to perform repeatable sanding tasks, especially helpful in production settings.

When it comes to safety features, the MI-16240 includes a CSA-approved guard, safety interrupter switch, large STOP paddle and built-in brake. The latter automatically slows disc rotation after the power switch is turned off.
