What you Bring:

- Prior professional development through traditional or non traditional learning paths like seminars, workshops, skills certificates, schooling, etc.
- Experience leading medium sized teams on projects, initiatives or events.
- Some relevant experience in the retail industry or in a trade

About the Position:
This dynamic and customer focused role requires critical thinking, the ability to problem solve, and support a medium sized team through day to day operations. Successful candidates will bring a drive to push initiatives forward, be interested in working in an operationally focused role and enjoy supporting a team to hit key performance indicators while providing excellent customer service.
Working in collaboration with the store manager, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring staff are providing outstanding customer service
- Becoming proficient in all areas of the store including cash and warehouse processes
- Works with other management and staff to ensure we are always focused on providing an exceptional customer experience
- Ensuring operational standards are maintained and creating strategies to increase store efficiency and profitability
- Maintaining a clean, organized and merchandised store
- Managing staff by assigning tasks and rewarding positive performance
- Assisting in performance management by answering staff questions, training, and providing suggestions to improve productivity
- Assisting with administrative tasks as required. This may include assisting with payroll processes, onboarding, health and safety compliance and other store initiatives.

The management position duties include overseeing a team of 30+ employees, assisting in HR and performance management, working closely with regional managers to build sales volume and provide outstanding customer service.
Successful applicants will bring the following:
- Recent retail management experience of at least 3 years of managing teams with more than 20 employees. This includes performance management strategies, basic human resources and recruitment.
- Experience working in a related industry or extensive hobby or product usage experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft, Gsuite and Epicor systems
- A proven ability to be an effective leader either through references or education
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A strong understanding of customer service and the retail environment

The assistant manager will oversee merchandising, sales initiatives, inventory management and perform administrative functions. You will work directly with our team on the floor and train, evaluate and reward staff in partnership with the branch manager.
To ensure success you need to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and perform your duties in a manner that maximizes productivity.
