These Irwin chisels are made from solid-forged, high-carbon steel so that a woodworker can get proper edge retention when working on a wood project. Irwin’s Blue Chip handle has a "rounded square" cross section that will fit comfortably in the hand, so that it is easy to control when working from different angles. These chisels have a bevel edge which allows for chamfering, dovetailing, and making clean cuts in tight corners where a thicker chisel would have problems.
